Howdy, how're you going?
A thought from Dave...

'Tis the season of frolicking lambs and daffodils and, unfortunately, muddy footprints through the house. Roll on sunny summer days.

A couple of days away with another family on a wee holiday gave me chance to reflect on day-to-day life on the basis that the dog did not come with us. This reflection is on the basis of, in the absence of a dog, life is quite different.

In the absence of a dog, my lunch will likely be leftovers tomorrow. In the absence of a dog, waking up in the morning is not with a face lick. In the absence of a dog, waking up is a lot slower and less lively. In the absence of a dog, sometimes I seem to be talking to myself. In the absence of a dog, I won't get as much exercise this week. In the absence of a dog, sometimes no one will be happy with me in the house. In the absence of a dog, I will have to chase the seagulls myself. In the absence of a dog, when walking in the park people are not as friendly. In the absence of a dog, no one steals my slipper to play tug-of-war. In the absence of a dog, I won't smile quite as much today.

People need dogs more than dogs need people.
