The team up here are flat out after a few short weeks. Judging by the amount of product going out there are plenty of well-fed cats and dogs out there at the moment. Thanks heaps to all of you who answered our survey last month and to those who sent through all the groovy Pets in Summer photos. You can check out all our prize winners below.
Dogs Get Funny Stuff
I love dogs - they wag their tails, not their tongues; but even better, they get it when we are trying to be funny.
I was feeling a little mischievous at home the other night so thought I would hide behind the door and wait for my oldest daughter to wander down the hall ready for bed, and jump out and give her a fright. Always good to get them back for previous or even future misdemeanours. Sooo, there I stood patiently behind the door waiting for her to wander along... quiet as a mouse I was... and sure enough, round the corner and past the door she walked - and Kaboomba. Out jumps dad and I was duly awarded with a scream that was, I must say, quite satisfying. Anyhow, not to be left out of the fun, Poppy the dog came tearing down the hall all bum-wiggling tail-wagging and barking. She became so excited I ended up having to calm down both dog and daughter. I’m not quite sure but I think she gets the whole idea of what I was up to and wants to join in the fun.
The other thing we used to do was play Hide and Seek with the kids. I must say, it’s pretty hard to hide from the kids when there is a dog with its nose in your hidey-hole and a wagging tail sticking out as a beacon. Any time I started the kids counting down, Poppy would get what was going on and didn’t wait for the count-down, she would normally have me found before the kids counted to ten. Try it out some time and you will see what I mean.
