Area Sales Manager

Area Sales Manager
Position Summary: Responsible for the management of Grocery and Pet Specialty customers within an assigned geographical area

Essential Qualifications
• Current Drivers licence
• ± 5 years’ experience in similar FMCG role
• Tertiary qualification advantageous

Key Responsibilities & Tasks Role Responsibilities
• Delivery of Agreed Sales Targets/KPIs (NPS, Call Coverage, Speed to shelf, new lines, trade standards, pre-sell and compliance etc) in both Pet Specialty and Grocery Retailers for the assigned area
• Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers within the assigned territory
• Implement, follow-up and update field sales cycle plans, priorities and focuses for the assigned area
• Responsible for the execution of the cycle plans in stores, in line with the field sales plans and priorities • Responsible for concise and timely feedback on in-store execution of field
• Appropriate completion of all required administration
• Adherence to all RPFC Company principles and policies
• Maximise RPFC presence in assigned area within guidelines (ranging, positioning and space)
• Ensure constructive & effective leadership and influence over 3rd party Merchandisers
• Facilitate team engagement through positive energy, sharing success & challenges
• Implement strategies & plans to achieve area growth
• Role model RPFC expected behaviours & values
• Implement trade investment within guidelines ensuring profitability.

Assistant Category Manager

Assistant Category Manager
Position Summary: The Assistant Category Manager is responsible for providing reports and insights to support the Category, Marketing and Sales teams in the key areas of Category Reviews, New Product Development and Company and Customer Planning.

Essential Skills & Experience
• 3+ years’ brand management, trade marketing, category management or sales executive experience or experience within a data service provider.
• Experience in category analysis and proficiency in either Nielsen or Aztec Scan and Panel software
• FMCG/Grocery experience is critical
• Proven experience in:
o Category analysis
o Aztec or Nielsen reporting and analysis

Desirable Skills & Experience
• Experience in the pet food category would be highly regarded, but is not essential

Key Responsibilities & Tasks
Reporting of Aztec data
o Responsible for reporting and analysis of available market data across grocery brands
o Key contact for Aztec account management team
o Assist members of the marketing and sales teams with Aztec as a super-user
o Brief Aztec (and other data suppliers) on additional reports and or data requirements
o Develop reports and provide analysis and insights, as required
Category Review
o Support Category, Insights and Planning Manager on the development of Category Reviews
o Support Category, Insights and Planning Manager on the development of Customer Planning Presentations
o Provide reports and analysis for inclusion in Category and Brand Plans
o Provide recommendations for shelf layouts / planograms (liaising with planogram providers, if required)
New product development
o Provide reports and insights for inclusion in New Product Development Stage Gate documents
o Provide ad-hoc reports on pricing, promotions and new product performance as directed by Category, Insights and Planning Manager
o Develop and distribute monthly report ‘scorecard’ to key members of the Sales and Marketing and present overview at Commercial Meeting
o Update ongoing reporting
